Okay, so my children's school was cancelled last Friday. It was the first big snow of the season. Not that big though. Today, however, we have a blizzard warning and yet school is open! What is up with that?! Since Adam missed the bus, I had to drive him to school. First of all, the temperature is in the teens, but with the wind chill it feels like negative numbers. Driving just across the street to another neighborhood, it was hard to see at times. The wind's blowing drifts everywhere. When I returned home I had to burn some rubber to make it back up my hill of a driveway. It's nuts! And the warning has been extended from 4 p.m. until 6 a.m. tomorrow!
P.S. This photo was from two years ago, but you get the idea. Just picture more wind and snow, and there you have it.

Bah! This is why the cold gives me nightmares. (or should I say chills?--I am so clever!)
WOW! You could fly down here and enjoy sunshine and in the 60's :) Actually, my kids are dying to get up that way and enjoy some SNOW! Here's hoping it's still around by the time we make it up there!
Sad! Snow is beautiful and fun but oh so crappy to live in. That is an adorable picture of Raquel though. At least the kids got a snow day- I'm thinking like a kid though- it may not have been so fun for you. ;)
Just the title makes me shiver. How random they made the kids go to school in a blizzard. Maybe they have horse-drawn sleighs they want to use?
Man alive! The snow clothes alone would boggle my brain! You grew up in all that white stuff--do you ever get accustomed to living in it? Temperatures in the teens with a lower wind chill...that doesn't sound like fun to me. But a warm house and hot chocolate do!
That is crazy!!! I def. dont miss living up North!! I couldnt imagine living in so much cold!!!
