More Fourth

Here's the happy trio by the end of the night, during the fireworks finale. [Adam took Kaitlyn's spot. She wanted it back. And they were all tired!]

Raquel really enjoyed the fireworks :)

Kaitlyn liked trying the confetti poppers and turned her confetti string into a wig.

The pre-fireworks show: smoke bombs
Since we moved to MI, a family in the ward has invited us over for bbq and fireworks every 4th of July. They used to be our hometeachers. The son is the one who loves to put on the fireworks show. It's nice--no crowds, no lines, no getting lost, no real cost, bathroom's really close, etc. :)

Building castles in the sand- or just an outline?

Raquel was ready to get cooled off in the lake. She loved it!

It looks like you all had a great time! :) Soph was totally afraid of the fireworks this year... but your kids sure seem to know what it's all about!

The Millennium Park does look like a fun place. The kids looked like they had a blast on the 4th. That las pic of them is hilarious- Kaitlyn crying, Adam giggling about it, and Raquel just being chill. I'm excited to see you guys soon!

I love that picture of Kaitlyn crying! That's such a Kaitlyn thing to do. Which is why I love her. She's totally me, getting frustrated so easily. The kids look so cute. What a fun and beautiful place to spend the 4th.

Also, I'm so excited to see you guys in a week!
