It feels so weird to have the Christmas tree up before Thanksgiving, but that's what we decided to do. And Kaitlyn really enjoyed decorating the tree all by herself. I did the lights but that was it. I hope that Sierra doesn't try to pull it off of the table, since we are using our 3-ft. tree this year. Now I need to figure out the Thanksgiving feast! I think it'll just be us again this year. We tried to invite others to join us, but they already had plans. So hopefully, I won't make too much food, and it'll turn out better than last year. Last year was my first attempt at baking a huge turkey. Even though it was edible, I learned from my mistakes and will do it differently this time around. For Family Home Evening, we made a paper turkey and wrote things we're thankful for on the paper feathers. It is on our dining room wall where we can see it. But, having the tree up, I think it really helps me to focus more on what I am thankful for. I am so thankful for my family and for my Savior and his gospel which makes it possible for our family to be together forever! I love you, family!

Writing on the turkey is a fun idea. What were the kids grateful for? And a three-foot tree sounds fantastic! Now the kids can have Christmas before the big exodus to grandparents homes! I'm so looking forward to seeing you all!
Some things the kids (A & K) said they were thankful for/or love-- my [pencil], yummy yummy foody-nature things that help me liv!, my bed, mommy daddy my three sisy's, my mom, my home, daddy, and I like my [puppy]. Kaitlyn had turned one of her paper feathers into a pencil. Very clever. And she had drawn a picture of a puppy/stuffed animal?
