Our little apple tree actually produced some edible apples, most of which got nibbled on before I could rescue them and Sierra from the table.

I could never find our back-to-school photos to use with the cute back-to-school background. Oh well. It's time to move on. October pictures haven't been uploaded yet, so here are more of Sept. This is kind of a funny story, but to make it short...our spherical cucumber is actually a premature cantaloupe :) It tasted just like a cucumber and was right next to our other cucumber vines...we didn't plant any cantaloupe this year. But, low and behold, the second time we picked one, it had orange spots inside! Some other veggies/fruits that got their life cut short included a pumpkin and squash whose vines were "destroyed by some animal," (i.e. a boy named Adam). But we cooked and ate the squash and are still enjoying the pumpkin as a centerpiece on our dining table. We love garden fresh :)
Some of our produce and weird garden things...we've already had frost a couple of times, so we decided to get our harvest in. We have a bucket or two full of green tomatoes. I'll have to try frying them!
"Hey Grandmas, we love your gifts" :) Thank you!

Yeah for gardens! That's funny about the cucumber/cantalope. I can't wait to have my own place where I can have a garden again. It's very rewarding.
p.s. that post about sierra eating poop was so yucky! Oh the joys of raising kids :)
That's funny about the cucalope. Aaron's parents brought us a cantalope that tasted like a cucumber. Maybe the two are just destined to share fates. :) I also love that you used your pumpkin as your table center piece- so festive and home grown!!!
